Vocal coach Dave brooks has been involved in the music industry for over 30 years. During his tenure Dave has worked as a top session singer, songwriter and producer. This success didn’t come without some hard work and time-consuming challenges. In 1990, Dave and his family moved out to the west coast to quickly gain recognition as one of the nation’s top studio vocalists. His voice has been featured on national network campaigns for ABC,NBC,CBS, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Wheel of Fortune and a host of commercial advertisements including ‘Milk, It Does a Body Good’, and Wendy’s ’99 Cent Value Menu’.

 Longing to spread his new-found knowledge to musicians alike, Dave moved to Nashville in 1998. While becoming one of Music City’s premiere session vocalists, Dave worked with many of the music industry’s biggest and brightest singers and songwriters. His voice has been used on songs pitched to powerhouse recording artists like Tim McGraw, George Straight, Brooks and Dunn, Martina McBride, Garth Brooks, Nick Lachey, N’Sync and The Backstreet Boys to name a few.
 
Dave’s ability to sing almost any style of music and his 25 years of studio experience, along with an undeniable thirst to teach has created one of the most sought after vocal coaches period. Dave feels that in order to become an entertainer you must first master the art of communication. “Think like an artist and not just a painter and you will create a ‘masterpiece’.”
 
His philosophy involves a ‘profound sense of vocal self where the student leaves the lesson with a much better understanding of what their voice is really capable of’. “True progress comes from fully understanding what you are doing and being at peace with the inherent knowledge acquired from this understanding”, says Dave. “We often base our progress on other people so the progress we perceive ourselves as making is unreal because we are not focusing on what WE have to offer."
 
Dave currently resides in Nashville and works at Brett Manning Studios as a top vocal coach.
